Pardon me, but aren't all Componons six element lenses? The Componar is a 4 element lens. Perhaps you didn't mean to infer that it's something other than a six element lens, just that it's not as good as current lenses. IAC, I agree that the Componon isn't quite as good as the Componon-S, all things being equal. For $30.00 it's a good deal, indeed, and certainly a step up from the ancient Omegar that Bill's been using.
