It's one of the features that they could have added for free, but
reserve for the more expensive cameras.
That's why the files are IMGP rather than some variation on LRC.
It's almost best to think of the K-x as the minimal box that holds a
lens and a decent sensor. It doesn't seem to require quite as much skill
as the K100 did to get good pictures out of it, but it really helps to
know what you're doing.

Other than aim the camera and chimp the histograms? Nope. I don't think I
even needed to tweak the exposure significantly.
Note that the files named LRC* or *LRC* were shot with the K20. The *IMGP*
files were shot with the K-x.
In post processing I tweaked the color balance a little bit in a couple of
the shots.
