A crocus followed hard on the heels of the first snowdrop. But this one is an 
aberration. It pops up every year on the east side of my neighbor's house. It's 
in a microclimate area, and I suspect the bulb isn't very deep. Probably 
dropped in a pile of leaves by a squirrel. Anyway, it's the only crocus 
blooming in the area, and that's my theory.

K7 with Vivitar Series1 90/2.5 macro, f5.6 @ 1/80th.
