And for god's sake, be sure to store them in the dark. Allowing light to
pass through lenses when you're not using them is a waste of their light
transmissivity. If you allow it to be frittered away in this manner it will
be used up very quickly (possibly running out in the middle of an important
shoot!) and the life of the lens will be shortened considerably.
