Don't forget low light capability and general overall performance.  The 50mm
lenses are all very sharp, high res. lenses for a very good price (mostly).

votes), or the "big picture" favored by wide users (29 votes)?

Or is it something else, like affordability, availability, size, weight,
looks, or ease of replacement?
