I probably should have tried a polarizer, I had one with me. The building, (and the elevator), were from 1926, the fire alarm was installed sometime in the 1960's the emergincy lighting was installed in the lzgd 80's, (replacing the 1950's emergincy lighting at least in this location), and the brass call panel was replaced about three years ago, the original was much more ornate.
