Thanks, Ann. I'm trying my best to feel guilty about cloning and haven't given up yet..
Actually, I seriously "get" what you mean. :)
Have you looked at the "Final Version?"

At the time I wrote the above, obviously not hehe...
Yeah - I just saw it... much better - but I'll be annoying and say I wish the sky were darker and more saturated... I think someone said it would be good in a group/ series but isn't a stand alone... basically because the light is uninteresting.

The shadow can be fixed by cloning in random patches

Great subject and colors but the shadow on the

A horizontal crop, keeping the same proportions,
from the RH edge, to eliminate the shadow, would definitely
improve this image.

Well I finally got to see this photo just now -- ditto what
Ken said. And I think that is preferable to cloning... I kinda
disapprove of cloning except
for removing tiny bits of crud or expressly commercial
purposes... partly because
of my inability to execute it perfectly.

The result of another spin in the surrounding
countryside. Image location; northern California just off
hi-way 70 as it approaches the lower Feather River Canyon.
Comments?
