say to the Canikon crowd to put them in their place? I would like to have
something ready to go when I go back tonight for the start of the Creative
Lighting workshop.

Since you're interpreting her response as confusionn & concern, I'd suggest
you ask her what camera she uses & would she be so kind as to point out the
features that allow her to take exception images that your Pentax can't.
In the end we all know it isn't about the system so much as its about the
one pushing the shutter release.
