None of the above solves the occasional way out of white balance image that happens. See:http://homepage.mac.com/jomac/Test%20&%20Anomalies/

I had a magazine pro tell me that instead of Auto White Balance or setting custom white balance, he leaves his set on "Daylight" all the time. He said it's easier to adjust the white balance in Camera Raw. You can adjust it for one image, then apply the adjustment to all the images.

This can be done in the CS2 RAW convertor for any set of images regardless of WB setting.

Same thing in Aperture, and how I work around the errant WB problem. Fix the WB in one image, Lift just the WB, then select all that have the same lighting, or should have, and Stamp them.

I'm sitting here now trying to get the courage up to install my 6 mo. old new copy of OS 10.6 and Aperture 3.0 (and then doing the since released updates) but have to first do some searching and see how many other pieces of software will be broken by the move. If it's anything I use even once a month, I will hold off, as Aperture 3.0.2 will still run under OS 10.5.8. I won't have all the features available, of course, because they evilly tie them together to force the constant update cycle.

In retaliation, I will NOT buy an iPad this Saturday, or any day, even used. So there!
