The body is a Canon EOS 1D* Mk* with the name/model print removed. I suspect it is a joke but I've actually been toying with the idea of a round/square/younameit shaped sensor for some time. It would be perfect for EVIL cams and I think the best shape in terms of wafer yield would be something like an iron cross with rounded outsides, i.e. a circle with four 75° or so triangular coutouts - on the wafer the pieces would fit into each other like a puzzle. You would have portrait and landscape, both with widescreen/panorama option plus tilted horizon correction overhead because of the less than 90° cutout.
