Sam - I see you are another smugmugger -
Lovely shot ! -- it would be really _perfect_ so if you post processed just to spot the dark area on the right.. I actually tried to brush off the tiny white spots thinking it was dust on my screen. I always have to spot anything I scan on the flatbed... the dust always finds its way to jsut where the darkest part of what I'm scanning is. I use noise reduction in ELement - lasso the area around the dust and set the
thing to 1 or 2 pixels.. works great. Anyway really stunning shot!

I'm probably breaking a few rules here, so I apologize in advance.

Before buying my K-x I needed to sell off a nice old Yashica T4 Super
D to help fund the purchase. So I bought some random fuji b&w 400
film (didn't pay much attention) and one afternoon when the sun was
coming in the house quite nicely I grabbed a few quick shots with my
daughter who was surprisingly amenable to the photo shoot. I am in
love with the results of pretty much the whole roll, despite what
seems to me to be just a terribly pathetic quality of scan (the size
of the scanned files is a paltry 700K). There are some white spots in
the upper right of the photo, perhaps from the scanner. If/when I get
around to trying to convert my k-x photos to b&w, this will be my
template.

No pp or cropping.
