That's most likely due to the extra pixels, which I'd expect Pentax to keep (the Sony 14.6MP CMOS sensor resolves better than the 12MP sensor and is almost as good for high ISO's, so I think it likely that a K-7x would have that sensor rather than the 12MP one in the K-x). -- M.
