Maybe they aren't using the whole sensor for 16/9.

They also certainly don't need 10MP of data per frame. I suspect that they'll spin a special purpose sensor that is optimized for video and which uses the 4/3 image circle.

The goal is to use 4/3 glass, I'm sure, not the existing sensors.
I suppose that they could do binning or something, but the fewer the pixels, the lower bandwidth that they need.
