A couple of months back I picked up 3 non-working and very ratty Pentax MG's for about $18 the three. I managed to find one of the three which seemed to be working (shutter fired etc.) but was missing some parts. So I raided the other 2 for the required bits, re-foamed and cleaned it, put some batteries in, mounted one of my AF lenses and ran a roll of film through it... result: working fine, and nice pics to boot, even the meter seems to be spot on.
Well, a couple of weeks ago I managed to snag an M-50 1.7 lens for it, in very nice shape for $15. I even found I already had the correct Pentax strap for it from a previous eBay lot of straps. To cap it all off I have sold the two remaining bodies on eBay for $11. So the camera has cost me the princely sum of $22 and has given me a great deal of fun getting it back on it's feet. Just thought I'd share :0) Regards, /\/\ick... - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
