"Pack it in", eh? You either suffer from aerophobia or watch Discovery Channel too much. :-) By the time the cloud hits Europe it's too dispersed to cause total engine failure. From an aircraft maintenance PoV, however, it makes perfect sense to leave the machines on the ground.
