I love Paris - it's the city I know best after London although there is still a lot more I want to understand. For instance, it was only while I was there this week that I learned about les grisettes (hence the photo of the statue!) and the significance of 1830. Paris is as interesting as London for me, but I haven't spent enough time there yet fully to shake off the photo cliches and find my own voice. I hope to do so of course, but I'm no Juan Buhler, and photographers such as Atget, Brassai, Kertesz, Doisneau, Cartier-Bresson, Izis, Ronis, Erwitt and so on are a hard act to follow!
