That does indeed look to be an LX, extra strap lug on lower left hand corner, and a socket for the grip screw on the right. You can use either for the optional cormorant plume.

Hello!

I follow several blogs, among them 'tokyo style camera'

         <http://tokyocamerastyle.com/>.

The latest post in this blog

<http://tokyocamerastyle.com/post/532922289/forget-t-shirts-nobuyoshi-araki-proves-that>

has a link

         <http://www.newbalance.co.jp/products/classic/switch/index07.html>

which features japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki with a Pentax LX.
  I am unable to confirm that the camera is really a Pentax LX just by
looking at it and the text is in japanese :-( But according to 'tokyo
style camera' it is indeed a Pentax LX.

The author of 'tokyo style camera' is John Sypal, a young american
photographer (from somewhere in Nevada, I presume...) living in Tokyo.
  He has another blog _valerian<http://kenshukan.net/john/>. If your
interested in Japanese photography another good place to start is
Japan Exposures<http://www.japanexposures.com/>.
