If you intend to do so, say so. Keep people interested. Maybe link into twitter so the twits out there can follow you, too. Tell what you know about the diner, not (only) about the picture. Mind you, I have never manage to attract people to a blog either but that may also be because they have never fascinated me enough to follow one. Perhaps you have to be excited about it to excite others about it. To me, much of the internet is about information overkill. It is a river full of nuggets and a tiny pan.
