I stopped using both McAfee and Symantec software years ago because of the
resource hogging they both involve.  Current favourite is Trend Micro's
PC-Cillin, which seems very effective, and does not seem to slow things
down.  I may be lucky though: I keep all my systems updated and have not had
any malware load for years.  Does anyone have horror stories about TM (so I
know what to look out for!)?
