I stopped using both McAfee and Symantec software years ago because of the resource hogging they both involve. Current favourite is Trend Micro's PC-Cillin, which seems very effective, and does not seem to slow things down. I may be lucky though: I keep all my systems updated and have not had any malware load for years. Does anyone have horror stories about TM (so I know what to look out for!)?
