... or maybe not. Doesn't look like it has a viewfinder, and I'm not comfortable with the hold-it-at-arms-length-squint-at-the-little-TV-and-pray style of shooting.

I didn't think I would be either, but the little Panasonic with the Leica lens that I used in Chicago was a viewfinder-free camera. Considering that the average P&S viewfinder has, since the dawn of time, been akin to looking through a toilet paper roll that has a coke bottle bottom at either end, the rear screen is rather refreshing, and one can see what is going to be captured quite easily. I did have the unwitting opportunity to use a variety of cameras, as it seems very common for pretty young girls to ask you to photograph them with their giggling pretty young girlfriends when you have a counteneance and demeanor that is as pleasant as I have, and so I did notice that there is some variance in screen quality. I don't know if you would have this problem or not, but it is one I certainly didn't mind. But all of them seemed quite easy to use, and there was certainly no guesswork at all regarding what was being looked at. I guess if one actually opens one's mind and tries these things, one can find out how very wrong one's preconceptions can be.
