from my wanderings... with yet again Netscape problems...

I think it is solved for now EXCEPT I lost a shitload of mail -- including every thing from may 3rd through last night...

Would someone send me the links to the Chicago stuff of other folk? Actually, if everyone who had posted pesos from then
sent me theirs , I'd love it.

Loved the time in Chicago - seeing old friends and meeting Pdml'rs that I only knew on line before. I can't share any photos yet, as Ihad yet another adventure coming home... I left my luggage in the back seat of friends car when he dropped me off at the bus stop in Cleveland going to Buffalo on Wed. Didn't have his cell phone number.. off he sped , unaware that my stuff was in the back seat
(he discovered it after he got home about 45 minutes later...)
Good news -- he has already mailed the bag to me...
Bad news -- my tiny P&S with a loaded cF card , my battery chargers, my bus ticket, etc are inside.... I can't transfer anymore pics to my computer with no backup charger at home.. all the camera batteries are dead... I had o buy another cell phone charger in Buffalo. I bought another bus ticket to get to Buffalo from Cleveland - Some of you heard the story about my adventures getting TO Buffalo - the 5 hour delay, getting my refund, etc... part two of THAT story was that the bus from Buffalo to NY yesterday was (1) late because our PRez was in BUffalo) and (2) I had the same bus driver as the one on May 3rd with the 5 hour delay... When I saw him - I said " I got a full refund " He replied holding up an open hand and saying "Ah, 5 hour!" He was under duress on this trip, too... we were two hours late getting to New York and there was too much luggage packed into the bus ...

Now as to the FUN times in Chicago... taking Robb, Tom C, Jay to my cherished PIzzaria Due after the opening... The Eggleston exhibit at the Art Institute , which I loved too, but most appeared not to like it. Never saw the computer taking pics at the gallery... but I did manage to skim the list a tiny bit on the road and saw Cotty's video -

Was so glad to see Jostein's spectacular shot from antartica get the first "red dot" - hope there are more dots to come for more of us.

I dashed away from what we used to call Grants park but is now Millineum Park, and the "bean" when the volume of a concert there was so intense it was way beyond annoying... actually painful,... I couldnt take my fingers out of my ears until I was 5 blocks away - Doc Lisa and I were both suffering but we dashed off in opposited directions... I was sorry not to say proper good byes to several folk because of
my difficulty in dealing with glass-shattering volume...
