Anybody remember the Pointer Sisters? That's my theme song today as I sold a rare vintage Takumar lens over the weekend JUST in time to find a deal on a 1150 shutter-activations "Stormtrooper" K-x kit. I love my K200D, but it will be on the block soon in order to recharge the ol' Paypal account.
I'll miss the BG-3 grip and the remote shutter socket and the weather/dust sealing, but am looking forward to the Sony Exmor sensor and the excellent high ISO performance. I'm not sure if I'm going to really like the "Stormtrooper" color scheme or not. If I were ordering one new, I probably would have gone with Basic Black. A couple of questions: The K200D and the K-x use the same focusing screen size, correct? I got a Nikon screen for my K200D for help with MF lenses and will switch that into the K-x assuming they are the same size. Secondly, I think I remember reading about SOME sort of problems with some early K-x models. Was that addressed with a firmware update? What checks should I put it through to make sure I don't have one with those problems? Thanks in advance for any answers!
