I think that a longer run for the show is a fine idea. But Sue really

I don't know how common it is, because I've only bought from a gallery a couple of times, and always as a friend-of-a-friend of the gallery owner. That said, I've been offered discounts to leave the piece with the gallery until the end of the run at that gallery, and bigger discounts to leave the piece with the show until the multi-city/country run ends. That was my only two gallery transactions, both in Darmstadt, Germany, in the mid 90s.

I'd be surprised if anyone in this show would not be pleased to have the exhibit extended, especially since it is only open one day a week
except for views by arrangement.

In shows I have been in in NY all sales were completed at the end of the exhibit and paid for when the photo's were picked up by the buyer or paid for ahead of time if they were to be shipped.
