I made a mistake when I said that there was no Canon 16-35mm zoom lens, just a 17-35. I was wrong. B&H lists both. The 16-35mm sells for about $1500 and the 17-35mm sels for about $1225. That's a lot of price difference for 1mm greater range. I wonder if they just build them and then figure out what the focal length is? Kind of like, "Hey boss, this one measures at 16mm! We can charge more for it!".
