thanks. I don't think they would dare use the word 'sidewalk'. I've never seen such a sign - Cotty or Rick might know better, representing Town & Gown as they do. It's illegal everywhere in Britain to cycle on the 'sidewalk' unless explicitly signposted to the contrary.
