Have you seen the Tolkien Sarcasm Page? The readers of a Tolkien
newsgroup put up a webpage with a fake, error filled synopsis of The
Lord Of The Rings to which they could direct the hundreds of people who
show up in their newsgroup and demand a rundown of what happens in the
trilogy. The header on the page SHOULD give it away ("Your homework
done for FREE"), but a writer for the Sunday Times took the synopsis at
face value and wove its cracked plot summary into an article
interviewing Cate Blanchett about her role in the new film. The part
about Galadriel's evil twin sister Glorifindel made me howl.

The Tolkien Sarcasm Page now proudly announce that they have been
"endorsed by the Sunday Times".
