Actually, my 40th birthday was one of my best. The one racing
organization that my MG was legal to compete with came from Portland to
one of our local tracks to hold a race on the weekend of my birthday:

Since I was driving, I obviously didn't take the photos, I was driving
the yellow MGBGT, which is/was a race legal street car, not the red one
which won, fully prepared for racing.
I also entered the vintage class that weekend, and had quite a good dice
with a race prepped bugeye. It was kind of embarassing to lose a drag
race down the straight to a frogeye, but since her motor was a fully
raceprepped 1275, she probably had more power than I.
