Just a suggestion - rather than trying to complete the catalog import, maybe 
try the following steps:
a. copy the remaining image files to where you want them to be. (via OS, not LR)
b. In LR, import from disc. 
c. Then import from catalog (or catalogue depending on your flavour of LR), but 
choose to not reimport any images.

I.e., split the copy, import-images-into-catalog, and catalog-info-import into 
three steps.
