This is kinda off the wall, but are any of you from or familiar with Tulsa, OK? I'm thinking about going to that area in the fall, and I'd be interested to hear what "neat stuff" I should seek out.

On the Will Rogers Turnpike in Vinita, OK, SW of Tulsa, there's a rest area restaurant that spans the highway.

I think it was originally franchised to the Dobbs House restaurant chain and called the Glass House.

It's a fairly good, if slightly mundane, example of mid-twentieth century Googie Architecture, a "high tech" American development from the Streamline Moderne and Art Deco styles.

It's a McDonalds now.
