I doubt there are any meaningful differences in optical quality among the
lenses for the two systems. All lenses are "professional" and can deliver
professional result though there are lenses that are better than others.
If you scan the MF newsgroups you'll see that both systems receive praise
for the lenses. In particular, the zoom lenses seems to be incredibly good
for what they are. For what its worth, the FA645 45-85 was tested by a
German magazine as the best tested MF lens ever.
It's true that the 67 system offer longer lenses than the 645 but only
marginally so. The difference in 35mm system terms is 500 to 400mm. In the
short end, both starts at 20mm in 35mm system terms and apart from the
fish-eye lens for the 67, the 67 system doesn't really offer anything over
the 645 in the wide end. The 645 system offer focal lengths from 20mm to
400mm in 35mm terms whereas the 67 offers from 22 to 500mm plus a fish-eye.

Most of us had the idea when switching to medium format of going all the
way to 67. However, as soon as you start using MF you'll probably start to
wish to use MF as much as possible expanding the system further from what
you initially planned.
I believe the fundamental question is how you plan to use your MF gear.
Never underestimate the size/weight factor.
You really should take a look on the new 645II before you make up your
mind; it feels quite different from the older model. It's also such a
beauty; compact with both mirror-lock and mirror pre-fire making it a
superb landscape and macro MF outfit. The dataimprinting is even neater
than that of the MZ-S.
