I did in fact plan to go there a few years ago. The trip there would involve using the Settle-Carlisle railway which is another thing I haven't got around to yet. I phoned around hotels and B&Bs a few weeks beforehand, but was told you have to book at least a year ahead. I thought about camping there instead, but call me prejudiced - I didn't want to leave stuff lying around all day protected only by a thin nylon sheet.
