They mean MAC address (Media Access Control), not Mac address.  While
your IP address will change as you connect or disconnect to various
networks, the MAC address is (reasonably) permanently associated with
your Ethernet or wireless interface.

On XP, you can get the MAC addresses of all of your interfaces by
starting a command prompt (Start -> Run -> "cmd") and running "getmac"
at the prompt.  The MAC address will look something like
00-15-DE-AD-BE-EF.

Editorial:  Filtering by MAC address is a pretty crappy means of
access control when people are coming and going all the time.  That
goes double if they're not going to provide instructions for finding
your MAC address.
