While your IP address will change as you connect or disconnect to various networks, the MAC address is (reasonably) permanently associated with your Ethernet or wireless interface. On XP, you can get the MAC addresses of all of your interfaces by starting a command prompt (Start -> Run -> "cmd") and running "getmac" at the prompt. The MAC address will look something like 00-15-DE-AD-BE-EF. Editorial: Filtering by MAC address is a pretty crappy means of access control when people are coming and going all the time. That goes double if they're not going to provide instructions for finding your MAC address. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
