What I believe they mean is that the CCD has 6.17 million actual (RGB) pixels, which are effectively 12 million when interpolated into full color pixels. Because Fuji's "super CCD" arranges the pixels in a honeycomb pattern, rather than a grid like everyone else, they can use (indeed, *must* use) different interpolation algorithms than everyone else, yielding digital files of 12 million pixels. -- Mark Roberts www.robertstech.com - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
