I have a great problem. I have to buy gear for about US$1000. That's not a problem, the fact that I won't be able to buy anything more in a long time (I'm going to be a father this spring :-) is. Ok, this is my one shot. What should I buy. How do I best put my money in gear to evolve myself as a photographer?
To get the whole picture, this is what I got: Program A with A50 1.7, Takumar 135 2.5, Sigma 28-80 3.5-5.6, sigma 80-200 4-5.6 (unsure about the zooms, not very good I think), 2x converter, Flash (something cheap but big) MEII winder and other bits and pieces. As you probably already guessed, I am not a pro (or I wouldn't have asked you). Maybe I am a prosumer, I don't know what that mean, it might even be insulting, but I love to do portraits, I love to walk in Gods nature shooting away. You get the picture. My thoughts this far is around the MZ-S. It is tempting, but I couldn't afford much else. Maybe a MZ-5N instead? And some lenses to go, and a flash. I don't know. PLEASE HELP ME!
