It doesn't work on all photos, - it's actually hard to find a photo it works reasonably well (without careful manual recoloring). 2. (tss... don't tell it to anybody else) Both photos used above are originally low quality photos - not sharp enough to stand on their own; but they had interesting composition. Earlier, in a similar situation, I used yet another different effect: http://42graphy.org/swing/ch-2008/1-selected/IMGP4530_1.html (this was for a swing dance called lindy hop - I thought I posted it earlier to the list, but probably I didn't - as I cannot find it in the archives). But overall, I seldom use processing effects/filters; lack of time and laziness are not the last reasons for that.
