I agree, although Photo Continental in Brisbane has a titanium finish Pentax 
zoom sitting on the shelf at the moment. Unfortunately, not many people 
working in camera stores seem to know much about the equipment they are 
selling. I have heard the base grade Canon being recommended over the Pentax 
MZ-50 on the basis that "This is the brand that a lot of professionals use." 
And I have heard a salesperson lose a sale because a customer felt the cost 
of a telephoto lens put the equipment out of their reach, when a secondhand 
Pentax lens at $150 (Australian) sitting on the shelf would have made the 
choice for them and clinched the deal.
