This will be helpful - if it's all about you being there to shoot them, you can 
have them crank the lights up a bit rather than going for "atmospheric" which 
will help a lot!

I haven't shot theater since High School back in '81/'82 so I'm not sure I have 
any suggestions other than "don't be afraid to tell people what to do" and move 
around a lot for good angles.
