Never had a virus before...
For the first time ever, really, my Trend Pcill virus protection
produced a log...
It had three items on it... all realted to Java and with the same
number at the end of each line
the first line was a successful quarantine the other two were not...
This is what the log said
"Virus Log","2010/07/22","D1YZVWB1"
"Time","Event","Source Type","Virus Name","File Name","First
Action","Second Action"
"04:02","Manual Scan","File","TROJ_JAVA.AX","javax\AServers.class
(C:\Documents and Settings\ann\Application
Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\17\34b8f51-3e060507)","Quarantine
Fail",""
"04:02","Manual Scan","File","TROJ_JAVA.BY","javax\Server1.class
(C:\Documents and Settings\ann\Application
Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\17\34b8f51-3e060507)","Quarantine
Fail",""
"04:02","Manual Scan","File","---","C:\Documents and
Settings\ann\Application
Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\17\34b8f51-3e060507","Quarantine
Success",""
Rob, this happened within a few hours of my using that Tinyurl thing to
put it back on my tool bar... ouch!
but it may be totally unrelated..
so what do I do? does highlighting and hitting delete in the log delete
the files? are the two failures taken care of by the quarantine?
I feel very ignorant of course....
Help!
