Sony has a 14.6MP CMOS sensor (in the A450, A550 and NEX-3/5) and the 12MP sensor from the K-x (and A500). There's also a rumoured new sensor or two coming, one at 16MP (rumoured for the Nikon D90 replacement) and rumours of an 18MP one (rmoured in one of the stringer A700 replacement rumours). I'd expect it will be the 14MP one from the A450/A550. It's a proven sensor with almost as good high ISO performance as the K-x's sensor -- M.
