Thanks Rob. I think the chrome caps on the end of the fenders are just surrounds for the turn signals. A little fifties-style window dressing. While Exner designed the body, Ghia built it. Under the skin, it's a shortened Chrysler New Yorker, which was a reasonably nice chassis and powertrain for the day. As far as I could tell, the restoration is flawless. The pic and a short article about the auction are on the NY Times website: http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/07/27/at-meadow-brook-auction-chryslers-bring-bidders-high-and-low/#more-63106 > > Cheers, > > -- > Rob Studdert (Digital Image Studio) > Tel: +61-418-166-870 UTC +10 Hours > Gmail, eBay, Skype, Twitter, Facebook, Picasa: distudio > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
