They told me that I could have some of the better-known pictures for about £1,000.00 each. Not having £1,000.00 at the time, I reluctantly declined. If I'd had that kind of money at the time there aren't many better ways I could have spent it. The rue Mouffetard itself has changed beyond recognition, but still makes an enjoyable and photogenic visit - Hemingway territory, among many others.
