I worked for a children's portraiture outfit earlier this year, inbetween working for the paper. We used Pentax 645s, and we used them ~very~ hard. In 9 months there the only problem that I had was that the shutter went out of sync somehow. Some of the photos would come back as though I had set the shutter speed higher than the flash sync, even though I had not. And if he intends to use a cable release, make sure that the shutter button is "tight." The button on my camera was so loose that I could not put a cable relase into it because the weight of the release would set off the camera.
Other than that, the camera performed flawlessly. By the way, I may be interested in some of his 35mm gear, depending on what he has. :) Good luck, Nick --- Collin Brendemuehl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Steven is looking to sell a bunch of his 35mm > stuff (and he has a bunch, for a teenager!) > and acquire a Pentax 645. > His concern is: What to look at and be cautious of. > What are the wear points to look at on a body? > What other matters might be of concern? > > TIA > > Collin > > * > "Get over it." > Dr. Laura > - > This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. > To unsubscribe, > go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions. > Don't forget to > visit the Pentax Users' Gallery at > http://pug.komkon.org .
