i was visiting a friend who works at CCSF recently, and she turned me onto a tapas/brewpub place, intermediate prices but great food and beer, Thirsty Bear, 661 Howard
two lunch spots i enjoyed (also medium priced) were the SFMOMA cafe and the Samovar Tea Lounge atop Buena Vista gardens
but the other thing i learned is that CCSF has about 50 locations, so i've no idea if this is near the one you mean ...
