I was once interested in taking a course in English, (Elixzbithan Period), History, It fulfilled a core requirement and looked interesting. The cost of books on the reading list amounted to > $800.00 for used books, (this was in 1976!), the other course that fulfill the requirement was an American History course. The entire reading list cost $30.00, for about the same number of books. I decided to take the American History course.

I cannot believe what a rip-off textbook prices are. I get $300 from the VA to buy textbooks & one book is $158.00 ... and that's the friggin' PAPERBACK version!
