Last week my family was in Maryland at a reunion and visiting the DC area. One evening we did the walk around the monuments in DC. Here are two different views of the Washington Monument - one at dusk and the other at night. The vantage points are very different as well. And yes the second shot was at ISO 10,000 - when you are walking with a family who are anxious, you don't have much time. I didn't even attempt to take a tripod, just relied on the K-x high ISO.
