In 1971 my parents and I were flying from Boston to Shannon on Aer Lingus. This was at the peak of "the troubles" in Northern Ireland. Somebody called in a bomb scare on the flight. We had to go through customs where all the luggage was inspected. When they inspected my camera bag they said I would need to register them with customs to facilitate bringing them back into the country at the end of our trip. I was working for Honeywell at the time and pointed that they bore the Honeywell name, a U.S. trademark. No more talk of registering them...

I remember back in the old days customs made you file off the Asahi name if you bought your camera overseas as Honeywell had the rights to the Spotmatic name in
the US.

Looks like an H1 (Honneywell), or S1 (Asahi), with the metering
attachment.

Hi all,

Came across an add for this for sale. Can anyone help me identify
which camera it is? It's a pretty bad photo.
