I'm not a ham, but my family is licensed to use General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS), the 50-watt licensed version of Family Radio Service (FRS). I bought a handful of tiny 5W Vertex VX-10s, each with a telescoping 5/8-wave antenna. Great for roaming Disney World. One $85 license and a couple hours of paperwork gives your entire U.S. family a license for five years.
For details about GMRS, see http://www.gmrsweb.com/gmrs.html. Fred <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Call signs? Hmmm... I wonder just how many hams we have on the PDML... 73, Fred (K1FW) Paul Franklin Stregevsky (WPQZ525) 13 Selby Court Poolesville, Maryland 20837-2410 [EMAIL PROTECTED] H (301) 349-5243 - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
