Odd. I'm not seeing that. Looking at that same shot at full resolution, I see some reflections of the flash that are less than ideal and some swirl marks from a lousy buffing job, but no mottling or unevenness of the red. If I were to use this shot for publication, I would probably have cloned out some of the reflections.

In regard to the reds, highly saturated perhaps, I could tone them down, but I like reds that pop. With reflective paint and flash lighting, it doesn't take any boost to get that. The saturation level is as recorded, with just a bit of a boost on the vibrance.
