I *do* spend lots of time thinking about the 17-70.  The pentax is out
because of the higher cost and the possibility of SDM failure.

Given that I value sharpness over the extra focal length, I think I
lean towards the tamron.  I've read some comments where the sigma was
not always excellent in the sharpness department.

Make sense?

LBA is fun!  In the meantime, I think I'll go home and try to shoot
more with my taks.  :-)
