I think Pentax just introduced huge incompatibility here.

Imagine two bipedal apes, one with golden K-r and kit lens and another
with brown K-r and DA 35/2.4 meet. And suddenly one is having a fit of
lens swap. They swap only to see that their gear looks like a pile of
s..t...
(/sarcasm)
Beside compatibility of mount there will have to be a compatibility of
color...
This lens introduction is not amusing.
